
Yilin Tang (Jolin) is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. She holds an MPhil in Arts, Creativity, and Education from Cambridge (Distinction) and an MFA in Creative Writing in English from the University of Hong Kong (Distinction). Her work explores the intersection of creative writing with contemporary women’s experiences, new media, and posthuman thought. She writes poetry and scholarly books and articles. Jolin currently serves as President of the Cambridge University Poetry and Prose Society (CUPPS) and as a guest lecturer teaching creative writing at the Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) at the University of Cambridge. Her writing and learning journey have unfolded primarily in Macau, Hong Kong, and Cambridge.
As a dedicated researcher and educator, Jolin created the women creative writing workshop Still Her, motivated by her deep belief in exploring “a different way of knowing and doing creative writing”. The workshop has gained global enthusiasm, having been conducted over 30 times across China and the UK, and has empowered more than 300 women worldwide. More about her creations can be found here.
